Change Preferences

You can set the following preferences using the Talk2Us desktop application. Just click on to view them:

Application preferences

Select the 'Launch on Startup' option if you want the Talk2Us application to run whenever you start up your computer.

Select the 'Remember my PIN' option if you want the Talk2Us application to log you in automatically.

Select the 'Play sound in incoming call' option to hear a ringing sound whenever Talk2Us answers a new call.

Service Preferences

You can choose how you receive messages when others call you and leave you a voice message. If you select 'call', you'll be called with a recording of the voice message. Select this option if you want to hear your messages by phone immmediately. You may want to disable 'SMS' if you're on a limited text message plan. You probably won't want to disable 'email' unless you only want to see the messages using the desktop application.

You can also choose how you want to receive messages sent through your Talk2Us account. For now, this only affects messages you send to yourself, and replies people send when they receive a phone message from you. Leave the 'Call' box checked if you would like a phone call when you receive a recorded reply to your outgoing phone messages.

Sending Talk2Us Logs

If you ever experience a bug and want to send the log to Talk2Us Support, open preferences and click the Log tab. Please just click on the log text, select all, copy it, and then paste it in an email to support@talk2.us.
