If you choose, Talk2Us can tell your callers when your status has been set to 'Unavailable'. Just choose your status from the 'Status' list in the lower right corner of the Talk2Us application.
Setting Status Manually
If you set your status to 'unavailable,' callers will be told that you've explicitly set your status to unavailable, so they know that you might not be able to get back to them quickly. For example, if you've set a personal greeting, it would sound like this:
"[your greeting]. [Your name] has set their status to 'unavailable'. Your message will be transcribed, so please speak clearly."
If your status is set to 'Available' (or 'Off') the caller won't hear your availability status, and will just hear your normal message.
Setting Status Using Your Calendar
You can also have the availability message trigger automatically depending on whether your calendar currently shows you as busy; just set your status to 'Use Calendar.' For example, if you're using the Talk2Us standard greeting, it will sound like this:
"You've reached the Talk2Us Assistant for [your name]. Their calendar shows they're not available. Your message will be transcribed, so please speak clearly."
If your status calendar doesn't show you as busy, the caller won't hear your availability status, and will just hear your normal message.
Note you will need to sync your calendar with Talk2Us in order to use this feature.
