  • What is the Talk2Us Service?

    The Talk2Us Service acts as an enhanced voicemail system that is much more flexible than your phone company's voicemail. Once Talk2Us is turned on, your voicemail can be sent to you via email, text or phone or straight to the lightweight Talk2Us desktop. And, you can reply to voicemails by typing, talking, or texting from anywhere in the world. Plus, we're working on enhanced iPhone and Blackberry applications so smartphone users can have even more control over messaging no matter where they are.

  • What phone do I need to use Talk2Us?

    You can use any mobile phone, because there is no special software to install on your phone. All you have to be able to do is forward unanswered calls to a United States number.

  • Does Talk2Us work with any mobile service?

    Yes, it does.

  • What happens if I switch mobile carriers?

    Your Talk2Us account can easily be switched to your new carrier. Just forward the voicemail on your new phone to Talk2Us. If you changed your number, you need to change the mobile number associated with your Talk2Us account by logging in to the website.

  • How is Talk2Us different from other voicemail transcription services?

    Talk2Us offers many more features than comparable voicemail transcription services. Our desktop visual voicemail application has many features to help you communicate and manage your time, including both sending and receiving messages and setting reminders. Our voice activated system allows you to do anything in the service using your voice, including replying to messages with dictated emails or texts, sending new messages by speaking, and setting reminders. Talk2Us integrates directly with nearly any address book, saving you the hassle of uploading new contacts when your address book changes. Talk2Us also integrates directly with most calendars, enabling the powerful reminder feature, and allowing callers to hear if you are available. Talk2Us aims to be not just a voicemail transcription service, but your online Professional Assistant.

  • How does using Talk2Us affect my existing voicemail?

    Talk2Us leaves your existing voicemail intact. You are simply setting up new voicemail with Talk2Us and telling your mobile phone company to send unanswered calls to Talk2Us voicemail instead of the phone company's voicemail. To do this for most carriers, you simply dial a code into your phone.

  • How hard is it to switch back to my mobile phone's voicemail?

    Not hard at all. For most carriers, you simply dial a code to switch back to sending unanswered calls to your mobile phone company's voicemail system. You won't even have to set anything up again. So there is no risk to trying Talk2Us.

  • How much does it cost?

    We offer both free and paid plans.

  • How long will my voicemail messages be stored?

    For paid plans, your messages will be saved indefinitely. For the free plan, we currently store messages indefinitely but will limit storage at some point in the future.

  • How do I cancel the service?

    Cancelling the Trial or the Free Plan is easy -- just unforward your voicemail. Your normal carrier voicemail service will be restored. You can still access any messages you received during the service using the desktop application, or by calling the Talk2Us voice access system. To cancel a paid plan, contact Talk2Us support.

  • Does Talk2Us work on the iPhone?

    Yes. You'll receive Talk2Us messages as emails and/or SMS on your iPhone. And the Talk2Us iPhone application adds additional features for Talk2Us users including dictating voice messages and recording custom greetings. Get talk2.us for iPhone here.

  • Does Talk2Us work with Blackberry devices?

    Yes, there is no special software required to use Talk2Us on a Blackberry. You'll receive transcribed messages in your inbox. However, we are developing a special application for Blackberry that will add additional features for Talk2Us users. Join now and when the Blackberry application is available for beta testing, we would be happy to include you. Since the Blackberry application just adds additional features, you get full Talk2Us functionality on your Blackberry today.

  • Does my mobile phone company charge me for using Talk2Us?

    You sign up for Talk2Us directly on one of our free or paid plans. Your phone company allows you to forward unanswered calls to any phone number you like. With AT&T, there is no charge, and minutes are not deducted from your plan. With Verizon and T-Mobile and Sprint, there is no charge, but minutes are deducted from your plan for the time that your callers are connected to your voicemail. Check with your carrier for details and feel free to contact us if you have further questions.

  • Can I also forward my home or office voicemail to Talk2Us?

    Yes. However, since our web site won't set you up automatically, just contact us and we will help you set it up.
